KIDKRAFT PACKAGING

KidKraft is a toys and children’s furniture designer and manufactures company, that servers’ customers worldwide.

I worked at Kid Kraft’s Shenzhen, China office branch as a paid Junior Graphic Designer intern, as part of the Graphic Design team, we handled consumers packaging and assembly instruction designs, for a diversity of products, from; large wooden dollhouses and wooden swing sets, to small wooden and plastic toys. As a team, we were always assisting one another on our individual assignments and at times also working on bigger projects together.

The target audience for KidKraft are Parents, that are looking for toys and tree lodges for their children. Throughout each project, I had to come up with different solutions to make all of the content and brand elements fit in each different packages that contained different dielines, as the packaging for each box was different in shape and size.

To accomplish these projects I constantly used Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Aside from designing on the computer, I printed the packages at 300% and 100% in order to check if all of the content was properly fitting on the page and easily readable.
